Massive Asteroid to Strike Earth! This Major City may get Wiped out as per Experts!

There have been numerous predictions regarding the threat to life on earth. At various stages, it has been speculated that life on our planet will totally vanish following some asteroid or meteoric attack from space. Nothing as such has happened yet.

However, an expert has recently said that an asteroid is definitely moving towards our planet, ready to strike and if it happens in any major city the results could be deadly.

The last asteroid to strike earth was in 1908 over the Tunguska region in Russia’s Siberia – which leveled a forest and damaged buildings but didn’t result in any human deaths.

Professor Alan Fitzsimmons, from Queen’s University Belfast’s Astrophysics Research Centre says one will “100 percent” strike Earth again, and London is suspected to be completely wiped out.

The asteroid named 441987 (2010 NY65) is marked as a concern because it’s 230 metres in diameter and travelling just 7.9 lunar distances from us.

Fitzsimmons reported said-

“Astronomers find near-Earth asteroids every day and most are harmless. But it is still possible the next Tunguska would take us by surprise, and although we are much better at finding larger asteroids that does us no good if we are not prepared to do something about them.”

Now that’s something to take seriously as we approach June 30th, which is observed as the Asteroid Day.

As reported by BGR, On June 30th, researchers and former astronauts will host a live stream to answer questions from the general public which are sourced from social media. There’s going to be a great discussion on the potential for collisions with near-Earth objects. So if interested, you can get the facts right from the experts.
