DLF boss’ daughter Renuka Talwar buys bungalow in Lutyens Bungalow Zone for Rs 435 crore

Renuka Talwar, daughter of DLF Chairman KP Singh, has acquired a bungalow on Prithviraj Road for Rs 435 crore in one of the biggest deals for a property in Lutyens’ Delhi.

The seller was Kamal Taneja, managing director of real estate developer TDI Infrocorp. Located on a 4,925 sq meter plot, the bungalow has a built-up area of around 1,189 square meters and was sold for Rs 8.8 lakh per sq m, its value is around Rs 383 crore.

Talwar is married to GS Talwar, a non-executive director at DLF. Her billionaire father already owns two bungalows on Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Road in Lutyens’ Delhi.

There are estimated to be only around 65 properties in the entire Lutyens’ Bungalow Zone spread over 3000 acres that are available are for private ownership. The rest are all owned by the government and house government officials.

Talwar’s father and chairman of DLF already owns a bungalow in the prestigious area which he reportedly paid an estimated Rs 280 crore to buy from industrialist Samir Thapar of JCT. The house is on APJ Abdul Kalam Road.
