On Wednesday, June 3rd, Chuter founded Pull Up for Change, a social media campaign calling for all beauty companies that openly endorsed Black Lives Matter to post this week’s comprehensive breakdowns of the number of Black individuals working at the executive, business, and leadership levels. Chuter also set a 72-hour deadline for the brands in question, all of which have promised pro-Black-life groups’ major cash contributions to share their estimates. To urge marketers to report this potentially dangerous information, Chuter asked her followers to pause to make purchases from beauty brands until the requested figures were released.
