21 Best Black Owned Makeup Brands 2021, You Must Support and Know

These are the 20 Black-Owned Makeup Brands; you should know, Black-owned makeup brands have been revolutionizing the beauty industry for years, yet they have not earned the recognition they deserve. These brands have innovated in the range of shades, pigment varieties, formulas, and more. For example, Fenty Beauty has changed the way beauty brands think about foundation shades and skin diversity. For many Black women, Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty—launched with 40 shades back in 2017—was revolutionary because it provided many of the perfect foundations for the first time in their lives.

In the meantime, world-renowned makeup artist Pat McGrath has been an innovator of eye shadow pigments under her cosmetics brand named Pat McGrath Labs, established in 2016. Opaque pigments in the industry that work for brown skin are a must in an industry that has often left people out of color. We have mentioned some of the great examples of why it is essential that we consistently support Black-owned makeup brands. They make moves and change the beauty industry for the better. Keep reading for some Black-owned highlights, lipsticks, and more to add to your shopping cart.
