Rapes are on the rise and anti-feminist forces are raging on, raping many minors and the newspaper are filled with such cases.
This has been the case since the Nirbhaya case, and many actors and politicians have spoken out against this inhumanely crimes many a time. Recently one of Bollywood “IT” girl Mallika Sherawat has spoken out. Mallika’s nature is quite frank and straightforward and she does not shy away from making her opinion known, even if it does not go well with the people of the country.
During the filming of “Daas Dev” she spoke out about the rapes happening in the country-
“I think what’s happening with women and children of this country is absolutely shameful. From the land of Gandhi, we have become a land of gang rapists and I think it’s the media in the country that is really a strong force today. So all hopes are pinned on the media.”
“If it’s not in the media, then nobody would know about these cases. I think because of pressure from the media, these new laws have been enforced. So we are really thankful to the media for this. We haven’t been able to protect women and children of our country and I have been reading about such kind of crimes on a daily basis in newspapers.”
The “Land of Rapists” jibe made by the starlet did not go well with the people of the country, and many people were quick to put her in her place when this statement came out. Check it out here:

Geography has nothing to do with the gangs who intend mischief… Vulnerable will be targeted… Beware of the gangs, even if the neighborhood is so familiar that one will mistake that I will be fine here, not even in a too familiar couch…
