Born in Bathgate, Scotland, Sebastian Melrose is a British-Salvadoran racing driver who last competed for Team HARD in the Ginetta GT4 Supercup.
He holds the Scottish Motor Racing Club (SMRC) rising star award, won the Ecurie Ecosse Hubcap, and is also the godson of four-time IndyCar Series champion and three-time Indianapolis 500 champion Dario Franchitti.

Early Life
Melrose raced for the first time in March 2014 at Knockhill in Scotland. During the Formula Ford Festival at Brands Hatch in October 2014, he competed in his first away race. As the youngest driver to reach the final of the festival, he achieved a top 20 finish. This achievement, along with his professional attitude away from the car, earned him the SMRC rising star award for Formula Ford 1600.
Career
In his second Formula Ford 1600 season with the Graham Brunton Racing team, Melrose finished 5th in the championship standings with 140 points. He finished third in 2016 and won the SMRC Best Young Single Seater Driver award. Melrose finished 2nd in the Scottish Championship in 2017, winning the David Leslie Trophy. During the same season, he won the Champion of Brands championship at Brands Hatch. In 2018, another second place was achieved.
Melrose joined Walkenhorst Motorsport in April 2019 to race in the VLN Series at the Nordschleife Nurburgring with a BMW.
Melrose will race with Team HARD in the Ginetta GT4 Supercup in 2021.
