Andreas was born in a well-to-do family in Würzburg, Bavaria, Germany on 22 March 1969. For his high school graduation, he attended a prestigious high school after completing his primary education. Later, he severed in the military with the Bundeswehr. His passion for acting was discovered at university, and he decided to pursue a career in acting.

Relationship/Marriage

Pietschmann lives in Berlin with his partner, the actress Jasmin Tabatabai, and has two children with her: Helena Leila (born 5 July 2009) and Johan Anton (born 13 August 2013). From Tabatabai’s previous marriage, Pietschmann is also the stepfather to Angelina.

Career

In the youth department of Würzburger Kickers, Pietschmann played football and was considered a talented player. During his military service with the Bundeswehr, he also became involved in theater acting. Among other things, he performed in a stage production of Die Feuerzangenbowle. As a result of a serious car accident, Pietschmann decided to pursue acting professionally.

In 1993, he attended drama school in Bochum, followed by a four-year engagement at the Schauspielhaus Bochum. For the 2000/2001 season, Pietschmann transferred to Hamburg’s Thalia Theater, and he left in 2007 to focus on film and television. Additionally, he has participated in a number of radio productions. In addition, Pietschmann has narrated several audiobooks, including Carlos Ruiz Zafón’s The Shadow of the Wind, Peter Behrens’ The Law of Dreams, Cecelia Ahern’s Thanks for the Memories, and Junot D’Az’s The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao.

Known for his role in GSG 9 – Ihr Einsatz ist Ihr Leben, Pietschmann gained fame for the film. Konstantin “Konny” Brendorp, who comes from a noble family, plays him on the show. He has been playing “The Stranger” in Netflix’s Dark since 2017. He has worked at the Maxim Gorki Theater in Berlin, as well as in several television series as a guest star.
