If you’ve ever had a night of binge-drinking, you know your next morning has been tough. You’d have tried various things to help you with your throbbing headache. Drinking large amounts of water, popping pills, or just sleeping through it, but sometimes none of this works. It’s tough waking up full of regret and self-pity after you got totally wasted the night before.
The reason for the headache is severe dehydration which is caused by alcohol. For centuries scientists and inventors have been experimenting with pills, fruit mixes, chemical mixes, devices, in order to reduce the effect of dehydration. But company Ullo is claiming they may have found a cure.
A device called the “Ullo” filters out headache inducing sulfites from your wine bottle. These sulfites are added to wine to maintain freshness while brewing. Ullo says that you can experience a taste that’s “straight from the vineyard” without having the dreaded hangover worry. In addition to the sulfite removal, there’s also an option to aerate the wine for a “purer” drinking experience.
Ullo is a Chicago startup with a simple mission to bring wine back to its natural state. The directions are pretty simple
All wine contains sulfites, which are artificial preservatives added during production. They are no longer required once the bottle is opened.
Proprietary polymer technology filters away free sulfites and their bitter taste, while allowing other compounds in wine to flow through unaffected.
- PURE WINE
Through Selective Sulfite CaptureTM, free sulfites are reduced to a more naturally occurring level for most wines.
