Two suicide bombers detonated explosive, killing themselves near the Turkish Capital of Ankara, after police called them to surrender, according to CNN Turk.
The two bombers, a man and a women were part of the PKK (Kurdistan Workers Party) which has been named as a Terrorist Group by Turkey, the United States and European Union.
They were in possession of plastic explosive and 200 kg of ammonium nitrate. According to news report both of the terrorists were planning to carry out an car bomb explosion when they were stopped by police on the road from Ankara to the town of Haymana.
The PKK has fought an insurgency war in Kurdish southeast Turkey for three decades. The leftist and Islamists militants have carried out bombings in Turkey in the past with the Islamists being blamed for some recent attacks.
